Forming in the early '90s as a hardcore band, A.F.I. would establish itself as one of the West Coast's most visceral bands. With each successive release, however, the band would prove slighty more experimental than typical hardcore sounds; by 1999, the act would flirt with Goth styles, merging punk and death rock.
