Originally formed as a hobby-level side project by musicians who worked with Sleepytime Museuem, Elvis Costello, Unsane, Perer Ubu, Frank Black and They Might Be Giants, The Book of Knots plans on a three-album cycle for its lifetime, starting with an ode to seaside towns, a look at the Midwestern rust belt and an album devoted to aeronautics.
