>> Burning Airlines

Shortly after the demise of post-hardcore heavyweights singer/guitarist J. Robbins rounded up his next unit, Burning Airlines. The band's debut album, which also featured Jawbox's Bill Barbot on bass, saw the pair taking their music into pop areas that suggested bands like the Pixies as much as anything the emo world dished up.
Barbot would split with the band before its second record, where the trio returned to a sound closer to the usual stomping grounds of post-hardcore.
In addition to being the band's principal player, J. Robbins is also one of indie rock's most saught-after producers.
