>> Dismemberment Plan

Dismemberment Plan
Though the Dismemberment Plan started out as a typical D.C. garage-rock act, over its lifespan it's mutated into an indie rock act that plays with a variety of influences and directions. While it sometimes sticks close to straightforward indie rock, it also plows through samples and keyboards to make a sound that draws as much on Motown as rock'n'roll.

Though the Plan's had a couple brushes with the big time, most notably a short-lived stint on a major label and the opening spot on a European Pearl Jam tour, it's returned to its underground roots.
