After Hot Water Music broke up in 2006 with the departure of singer/guitarist Chuck Reagan, its remaining members regrouped as The Draft, with singer/guitarist Chris Woolard, bassist Jason Black and drummer George Rebelo joining forces with Todd Rockhill (ex-Discount), and turning out its debut, In a Million Pieces within six months of Hot Water Music's demise.

The Draft features more hooks and larger melodies than Hot Water Music's sharp, angular post-hardcore.
