>> Edie Sedgwick
A conceptual bass-and-drum duo that takes its name from a starlet who appeared in several Andy Warhol films before her premature death, Edie Sedgwick proffers its view of "post-Warholism." Rather than talk about emotions, or write songs rejecting those emotions, the band's haiku-like songs pay tribute to celebrities. More of an artistic statement than a band proper, Edie Sedgwick's music isn't as important as the message behind it.
