Mixing Gothic-oriented avant-garde sounds with rootsy blues and rockabilly influences, the Gun Club put a spin on Gothic and roots/punk sounds. More energetic than melancholic Goth rock and more ethereal than psychobilly, the Gun Club's sound brims with raw energy. Bassist Patrica Morrison would stand in with the Sisters of Mercy for Floodland-era work.
