After the dissolution of The Promise Ring and The Dismemberment Plan, the Ring's Davey Von Bohlen and Dan Didier regrouped with Plan bassist Eric Axelson to form Maritime. Straddling the line between pop and indie good times, the band continues the artistic arc of The Promise Ring. Axleson left the band shortly after the release of the band's sophomore effort, We, the Vehicles, to be replaced by Decibully's Justin Klug.
