Spinning off from the Sisters of Mercy's original lineup, ex-Sisters Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams formed the Mission, a band with a similar dark, Gothic sound. Melodramatic and dark, the Mission's work features the murky guitar Hussey developed in the Sisters of Mercy. Not as aggressive as later Gothic acts, the Mission focuses more on melancholic sounds rather than harsher styles.
