A side project of the Get Up Kids' Matt Pryor, the New Amsterdams don't break far from the Get Ups' mold. Slightly more straightforward pop rock, the New Amsterdams' work features light acoustic guitars similar in feel to the songs on the Get Up Kids' Something to Write Home About (1999, Heroes and Villians).
