>> Rancid

Rancid
Developing from the ruins of Operation Ivy, Rancid's style developed from standard Orange County hard-edged punk to a more refined, subtle style, drawing on the sounds of many early British punk acts. Later albums would feature a mix of heavy guitars and complex bass lines in the tradition of classic punk mixed with Caribbean sounds, rockabilly and other eclectic influences. One of the most visionary punk acts of the '90s, Rancid's musical output contrasts the band's stilted, stereotypical punk image.
