Created as a hoax mystery band to front one of the Get Up Kids' more inane compositions, Reggie and the Full Effect was supposed to be a rock act whose heyday came in the mid-'80s, and ended when front man Reggie dissapeared following a huge fire to the band's practice space. In reality, the band's output were simply quirky home recordings and studio goof-offs that held little in the way of continuity or imagination.
