Starting out combining a pair of golden-throated front women with heavy-hitting rock, Veruca Salt's sound provides listners with the crunch of punk and grunge without the abrasiveness of either genre. Mixing fast tempoed rockers with slower songs, Veruca Salt's sound is consistently well rounded and easily accessible. By 2000,however singer/guitarist Nina Gordon would part ways with the band for a solo career, leaving the band to unravel. Unfazed, singer Louise Post would rally with a new album and a new lineup.
