Aversion.com was started with the concept of bringing quality music information to the web unlike anyone had ever done before. Started in 1998 by owners Dan Stewart and Matt Schild, Aversion.com quickly became a hot spot on the web for punk, indie, underground and rock information.
The idea was not to create a site that was simply a collection of links, or a collection of information from other sites. Rather, the purpose was to create an intimate setting that visitors could use to get to know the artists they love and the music they feel tied to.
Dan Stewart brings the knowledge of one of the top internet developers in the nation, having worked on several large scale business and music industry projects. As a lead developer in the web community, his skills help to create a dynamic and interactive quality to Aversion.com that can't be found elsewhere.
Matt Schild brings his knowledge and expertise in the world of Journalism to Aversion.com. With an ear for upcoming artists and an eye for good writing Matt has created a focus for Aversion.com that interests a wide variety of readers, while still managing to create an intimate atmosphere throughout the site.
Since the original concept idea, the scope of the site has continued to widen as the site grows. Rather than flounder under the stagnation that is so inherent of the web, Aversion.com is constantly looking to improve services, add quality original content, and expand the scope and focus of the site. This has included the addition of such features as the content driven music search engine, reader reviews of CD's, an interactive message board and much more.
