Slash Has Fergie's Back on 'Paradise City' Cover

Slash isn't ashamed about taking liberties with a Guns N'Roses classic for a solo B-side.

The onetime GNR guitarist tapped Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie to lay down the vocals on a new version of "Paradise City." He also got Cypress Hill to come aboard to complete the rap'n'roll fantasy like it was 1999. Although the song merely appeared as a B-side to a Japanese single, the shredder's already taken a lot of flak for its reworking. He's not ready to apologize for the decision.

"She sings it better than most dudes I know," he explained in a Tweet. "She's a screamer at heart."
