Nirvana Just Can't Say No to Video Games

Courtney Love might be all sorts of pissed about that Kurt Cobain player icon in a video game, but she's not above signing off on more licensing deals with video-game makers.

Three more Nirvana songs are set to be available for purchase and play in Rock Band starting tomorrow (Dec. 1). The songs, an album version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and live versions of "Come As You Are" and "Lithium" will be able to be rocked by the wannabes with plastic guitars.

Love, Nirvana frontman Cobain's widow, previously went off the rails after licensing his image to be used in Guitar Hero 5 as a player avatar.

After the 2002 court battle over "You Know You're Right", a judge ruled that Love, Novoselic, and Grohl ALL have to be in agreement for Nirvana songs to be licensed. Guitar Hero and Rock Band still suck though.

I wonder if Dave and Krist approve of this.
