J. Mascis Side Project Sweet Apple Preps Debut

Today's "One band just isn't enough for me" news is brought to you by Dinosaur Jr.'s J. Mascis.

It's also, albeit less significantly, brought to you by Cobra Verde's Tim Parnin on guitar, and Witch's Dave Sweetapple on bass. With Mascis playing guitar and drums -- and John Petkovic handling lead vocals and guitar -- the act rips into full-on side-project territory with Sweet Apple. The band's debut, Love and Desperation is out March 9 from Tee Pee Records.
