The Thermals are putting the finishing touches on their next album.
Kill Rock Stars announced The Thermals' next album, tentatively titled Personal Life will be on shelves Sept. 7. The album,is being mixed down by Death Cab For Cutie's Chris Walla (Tegan and Sara) in his home studio in Portland, Ore. A track listing's still not finalized, but it follows up last year's Now We Can See (review). (Which was voted Aversion's 2009 album of the year. Just sayin'.)
You won't have to wait until the autumn to get your Thermals fix, though: The band's pledged to release a split 7-inch with The Cribs in honor of Record Store Day. The split, which couples The Thermals' "Separate" with The Cribs' "So Hot Now," will only be available in independent record stores to mark this year's Record Store Day, April 17.
