Members of The New York Dolls and The Dead Boys are uniting for an old-school punk supergroup.
Dolls guitarist Sylvain Sylvain and Dead Boys guitarist Cheetah Chrome get the New York style back in action in their new outfit, Batusis. Taking its name from that Adam West-era Batman where the Caped Crusader lampoons the watusi by dancing the Batusi, the act sounds pretty much how you'd imagine something coming from Chrome and Sylvain would.
"We're just nuts about rock 'n' roll. We knew that's what we'd come up with, no matter what!" Sylvain said in a statement.
The act drops its self-titled debut EP through Smog Veil Records May 4, and will make its live debut at South By Southwest March 18 at The Prague.
