Les Savy Fav Asks Thieves to Donate

Les Savy Fav knows you stole its album long, long, long before you could buy it. Now's your chance to prove you're more than a filthy, garden-variety information pirate.
The band's Root for Ruin isn't even in stores yet, but it's all over the Internet. To help make you feel less burdened by the guilt of lifting yourself a copy of the album off the pirate networks, the band's opened a web page soliciting donations for the track from those folks who've stolen it. Yeah, it's sort of a closing-the-barn-door-after-the-cow's-gotten-out strategy, but guilt's a powerful, powerful tool for marketers, so it just might work.
